MAYOR OF MILLINGTON TOURS INDMAR MARINE ENGINES
As Company Seeks Community Partnership to Drive Local Impact

MILLINGTON, Tenn., Mar. 18, 2025 –Indmar Marine Engines, a proud member of the Millington community for over 54 years, welcomed Mayor Larry Dagen for an exclusive tour of its factory to strengthen ties with local government and explore meaningful ways to give back to the community.

During the visit, executives from Indmar discussed how Indmar could support Millington High School’s vocational department, including offering welding class tours and exploring internship opportunities for students. In addition, plans were discussed for a service project benefiting the local library, reinforcing Indmar’s commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of Millington residents.

As part of its ongoing community efforts, Indmar has also begun collaborating with the City Beautiful Commission to organize a city cleanup day in May.  This initiative represents Indmar’s commitment to improving the local environment and the hope of inspiring other organizations to take action.

Mayor Larry Dagen expressed appreciation for Indmar’s proactive approach stating, “On our tour, I was completely taken aback when I saw the magnitude of this company and its impact on our community. We believe that Millington can be the best place in the country for veterans to retire, and the Indmar story is one that could only be possible in a community like ours. Their founder was a Marine veteran, and it is clear that the spirit of service to the community remains strong. We appreciate President Tim Maher and Managers Katie Cabay and Thomas Shook for taking the time to reach out and ask a question we don’t get often: ‘What can we do for our community?'”

With a deep-rooted history in Millington, Indmar Marine Engines remains committed to excellence in both its products and its contributions to the communities it serves.  The meeting between Indmar and the Mayor of Millington marks the beginning of an enduring partnership to foster local engagement that creates a lasting impact.
