MILLINGTON, Tenn., Feb.9, 2023 – Indmar’s 2.3L EcoBoost and EcoJet Package adds the all-new Marine Power Innovation (MPI) Award by Boating Magazine to its trophy case.  Boating Magazine MPI Awards honor makers of marine propulsion products that substantially advance the owner experience.  The MPI Awards were created to complement Boating’s prestigious Boat of the Year Award.

Every manufacturer in the marine industry wants to be known for developing marine products that shock and surprise customers and the industry. Since Indmar Marine Engines launched the 2.3L EcoBoost, the all-new performance platform has proven it’s here to surprise, shock and disrupt the marine industry.- And it’s not just Indmar that thinks the inboard marine engine is a true work of art with truly innovative and groundbreaking features.

Indmar’s 2.3L EcoBoost and EcoJet package was awarded for changing the way a pontoon will be used, for making docking a pontoon boat easier, handling a pontoon boat easier and for reducing jet pump whine and vibration.  Indmar’s EcoJet package dramatically dampens the high-pitched sound inherent with jets, offering all the advantages of jet propulsion while mitigating a big complaint – noise.  Furthermore, it provides a terrific throttle response and can make a boat spin on a dime. In addition, it provides for a wide-open aft deck that opens doors for boat builders and improves the owner’s experience.

Boating’s editorial staff were pleased to award Indmar a Marine Power Innovation award,” according to Editorial Director, Kevin Falvey. ” The EcoBoost/ EcoJet proved itself with excellent maneuverability, quiet running and a wide-open aft deck creating a better experience for boat owners.

“We are honored to be recognized and awarded by Boating Magazine’s MPI Awards. Today’s award would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our entire engineering and product development team, explained Tim Maher, Chief Operating Officer of Indmar Marine Engines.  “The EcoJet package is a proven technology that continues to break new ground as an alternative to traditional transom-mounted outboards.”  Maher further explains, “There are a lot of technical advantages to Indmar’s Eco package, but the biggest benefits are what it represents to boat builders and boat buyers.”

Indmar’s EcoBoost and EcoJet package will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show February 15 – 19th at booth number MB2090.
