Indmar Marine Engines, the world’s largest privately held manufacturer of gasoline powered inboard marine engines, announced today that the 5.7L Assault 345 has won the coveted 2011 International Boatbuilders Exhibition (IBEX) Innovation Award in the Inboard Marine Engine category. Organized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and judged by members of Boating Writers International (BWI), the awards recognize innovative distinction from other products currently being manufactured that benefit the marine industry and consumers.

The results are in and its official, an Indmar Marine Engine owner is a happy owner. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) just announced the recipients of the 2011 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) award and has recognized Indmar Marine Engines for the 6th consecutive year. The program surveyed more than 30,000 consumers and over the last six years more than 670,000 consumers were surveyed reporting customer satisfaction with their Indmar Marine Engine.

Indmar Marine Engines and their subsidiary, Barr Marine, announced Jerry’s Marine as their new Master Distributor at the Miami Boat show today. Jerry’s Marine will offer a full line of engines and parts from Indmar as it continues to offer the full line of Barr Marine exhaust systems throughout the east coast of the US and the Caribbean. After the announcement, Jerry’s Marine revealed a fully loaded 6L with a variety of added options. The engine will be available for viewing at the Miami Boat Show through the close of the show on Feb. 21 at 6:00 p.m. at booth number G61.

Indmar Marine Engines announced the details today surrounding their all-new industry leading warranty program available on all 2011 Indmar Marine Engines. They call it the Factory 5-Year Warranty. The warranty will pave the way to a new industry standard and welcomes owners to a hassle-free ownership experience.
The Factory 5-year warranty is the only true factory-backed warranty. The warranty is fully backed by Indmar Marine Engines and does not include an outsourced third party as typically provided by other manufacturers. Coverage under the program is the same on the last day as it is on the first. The warranty is also fully transferable.

For the fifth consecutive year, Indmar Marine Engine owners have consistently reported outstanding customer satisfaction with their Indmar engine. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) will award Indmar for excellence in customer satisfaction as part of the NMMA’s Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program at the 2010 International Boat Builders Exhibition and conference (IBEX), Tuesday, September 28.

Who knew that a casual conversation that took place four years ago between Bill Scheunemann of Precision Aero Marine and Kevin Kimball of Jim Kimball Enterprises, Inc. would result into what we are revealing today. The latest Indmar powered creation to hit the water, Saetta Classic Boats. The dynamic team used their mutual passion for classic style wooden boats combined with their aircraft design, manufacturing skills and equipment to build a “retro modern” wooden boat with the convenience of a modern ski boat.

Chuck Rowe, President of Indmar Marine Engines, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Award of Distinction by the American Water Ski Educational Foundation's Water Ski Hall of Fame Selection Committee. The Award of Distinction recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the sport and the water skiing community.

Antifreeze mixtures that contain more than 50% glycol can cause overheating problems with fresh water cooled Indmar engines. A consumer that is experiencing high engine operating temperatures or overheating at higher speeds and loads, may have too much glycol in the mix. Other issues could also be the problem; water pump impeller, pinched hose, intake water obstruction, etc.
