As Indmar grew into a nationally recognized brand, the leadership of this premiere marine engine manufacturer implemented a program known as customer caring. Unlike many businesses in the midst of growth and constant evolution, Indmar never lost its original direction or contact with its grassroots constituency - the customers themselves. In fact, Indmar is committed to looking at products through the eyes of consumers. The company maintains that superior customer service is equally as important as building the world's finest gasoline inboards. Always striving to improve on customer service, Indmar constantly evaluates and redefines its customer's needs. Indmar analyzes consumer problems and takes responsibility, even if the source of the problem is uncertain and not necessarily Indmar related. Indmar constantly produces and releases information to allow OEMs to work on it's products and have the data needed to keep Indmar's highly technical products running properly. Thanks to an advanced computer system, highly trained customer service representatives can quickly access pertinent information on everything from warranty claims to general how-to questions on maintenance procedures. Also, understanding that the boat owner demands and deserves fast turn-around on repairs and maintenance, Indmar offers support materials to Indmar Certified Service Centers. Customer service starts before Indmar engines are shipped. At the final quality control check, every engine is started and calibrated to the OEM requirements. The resulting profile data is recorded in a computer file that is maintained for the life of the engine. In addition, Indmar provides necessary product information and service training for the OEM's field service techs. Indmar's customer service is tailored to each OEM's requirement. Indmar's service training, known as Indmar U, is a person-to-person classroom facility complete with AV resources, the latest tools and diagnostic equipment as well as access to four service dynos for hands-on work.
